Specialist Speech & Language Therapy Treatments

We specialise in assessing and treating both Acquired Brain Injuries and a diverse range of neurological conditions to support children and adults who have difficulties with communication and with eating, drinking and swallowing.

The specific treatment provided is determined by several factors, such as the underlying cause and severity of the neurological issue. Through Speech and Language Therapy, we aim to enhance speech, language, communication and swallowing abilities using the most up to date peer reviewed research and in conjunction with Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists with whom we liaise closely. We regularly update our practices to reflect our ever-evolving field.

Our expertise extends to a wide range of neurological conditions:

Traumatic Brain Injury

Intervention is aimed at supporting the recovery of clients following a Traumatic Brain Injury. Our team can assist throughout the assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation process, including both helping the client come to terms with their current limitations in order to set targeted improvements to their levels of communication.

Acquired Brain Injury - Cerebral Palsy

Supporting individuals to use total communication which includes gesture AAC and speech. Therapy may also target the muscles in the throat, jaw, and mouth, thus reducing impairments to functions such as speaking, eating, and drinking.

Acquired Brain Injury - Stroke

Assisting clients with the effects of a stroke and the associated challenges with swallowing, eating, drinking, and language that can occur, including Aphasia, Dysarthria and Apraxia.

Neurological Conditions in Adults

We assess, diagnose, and offer goal-directed intervention for adults experiencing speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties stemming from a variety of progressive neurological conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, and Motor Neurone Disease.
